Hi, I'm Kerri!
I was at war with my body for most of my life. My first weight-loss attempt was at age 12 (which makes me a late bloomer by today's standards).
Like most people born with a uterus, I truly believed that my path to confidence and happiness would be found at a smaller size. So, I spent the next two decades dedicated to shrinking my body.
When I learned that diets don't work (for weight loss or confidence building), I started the uphill battle of learning to make peace with my body.
I got annoying advice like "just love your body" or "look in the mirror and say: you're beautiful." None of that made me like or feel peaceful about my body.
It all changed when I realized I didn't have to like how I look to have a positive body image.
